The tour offered us a unique opportunity to meet and converse with some of the business owners, gaining first-hand insight into their experiences and the community’s dynamic post-COVID recovery.

The primary purpose of this trip was to lay the groundwork for an upcoming Women's Leadership Day in Port Jefferson. Planning such an event requires thorough preparation, and our leadership committee found it essential to venture across the Long Island Sound to experience Port Jefferson’s environment and activities first-hand. The town, much like many others, is navigating the path of recovery from the pandemic, but in doing so, they have initiated some remarkable projects that reflect their resilience and innovative spirit.
