MISSION AND WORK:
The collective goal of Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC) Program Affiliates is to advance the BRBC mission to grow the regional economy by offering leadership and professional development programs designed to support local businesses in attracting and retaining a skilled and engaged workforce.
An affiliate program of the BRBC, Leadership Greater Bridgeport (LGB) is a nine-month experiential leadership program designed to develop and elevate community leaders. This year marks the 33rd class of Leadership Greater Bridgeport, a program that began in 1990 and has over 800 alumni. Each year, a cohort of leaders and rising stars who live and/or work in the Greater Bridgeport Region convene to create a lasting network of contacts, to learn about the challenges and opportunities in the region and to give back to the community through a meaningful group project. The cohorts are comprised of a diverse group of individuals from large corporations, small businesses, nonprofits, government entities and entrepreneurial ventures.
WHY LEADERSHIP GREATER BRIDGEPORT? No other program offers the deep dive into regional issues, access to community leaders and networking opportunities with other ambitious individuals in the Greater Bridgeport area. Candidates for LGB are interested in investing in themselves, their organizations, and their communities.
