BRBC Councils and Committees

The BRBC Board of Directors approves the membership of the Standing Committees of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council. The Standing Committees of the Business Council are:

BRBC Working Committees that have been established to accomplish the organization's strategic goals.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE is charged with  reviewing current and prospective economic development projects in the region and business recruitment and retention.  Contact Jeff Bishop at for additional information.

MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT/MARKETING COMMITTEE helps with BRBC communications, branding, marketing, events plans, benefits and small business services, as well as assists in developing and executing membership growth and retention plans. GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE meets several times during the year and plans the government relations calendar of events, reviews and approves the annual “Legislative Agenda” which is distributed to every state legislator and member company and serves as the basis of BRBC legislative advocacy on behalf of business. HEALTH CARE COUNCIL (meets every other month) BRBC members that are engaged in work related to health care or have an interest in how health care access and affordability effects business are welcome to participate.  In addition to meeting 6 times a year, the Health Care Council plans several events annually around the topic of healthcare, including the Fitness Challenge.  Contact Karen DelVecchio at for additional information.
