I just have to say, wow! For a first-year event, we did pretty darn good.
We can't thank our sponsors enough for all that they did to make this event a success. They are showcased here in the photo below of the Jumbo-tron at the Arena as everyone was setting up.
Special thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Webster Bank. As a business membership organization, we rely on partnerships with both large and small businesses to advance our mission to grow the local economy. Webster Bank, our presenting sponsor, has been tremendously supportive of the BRBC mission and, in particular, of this event.
You'll see below Nitin Mhatre, Executive Vice President, head of community banking for Webster Bank and Webster Financial Corporation (NYSE: WBS) who gave a compelling talk to an audience of 200 luncheon guests on Navigating Our Increasingly Digital World.
In addition to Webster Bank, Cumulus Media, Fairfield County Business Journal, MGM Bridgeport, People's United Bank, and PSEG Power Connecticut joined us as key investors. And, Antinozzi Associates, Ashcroft, American View Productions, Berchem Moses, Hampford Research Inc., Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and R.C. Bigelow have all contributed in a big way to assure that this event would be a success for our organization.
The BRBC Expo for Business & Innovation also saw a great mix of exhibitors BRBC Member Businesses and Non-member businesses alike.

And, by the way, the folks at Centerplate Event Venue and Catering Services at the Webster Bank Arena did a bang-up job with the Luncheon catering.

A huge shout out to all our vendors for helping us get this new an important event for the Business Community and Region off the ground in our inaugural year.
We will be doing this again next fall and are working to secure a date with the Webster Bank Arena now. Stay tuned for more information.
Local Bridgeport artist extrodinare, Liz Squillace painted a scene of our BRBC Expo live at the event - we just love how she depicted what was a great day! See that photo above. Simply amazing.
