The Bridgeport Regional Business Council continues to play an active and vital role by “acting to create an environment for business expansion, retention and recruitment that will result in jobs and tax base growth”, our mission.
Our organization undertakes this work currently in many and varied ways:

Utilizing our collective clout to bring public resources into our region to support development projects

Appearing before local land use bodies to support a pro business / pro development land use agenda Providing volunteer and other resources to our municipalities for economic development initiatives from planning to project support

Taking positions on matters of public policy relative to economic development and using our collective clout to help those positions win out in the arena of public policy

Partnering with our local communities on marketing efforts, business retention and recruitment efforts, and planning efforts

Regionalizing our economic development work in recognition of regional, national and global economic realities such as our initiative to create a “One Coast” Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy within our 14 town “One Coast region”
